V4 Test Ride On A Multi V4

Obviously the Ducati V4s are fantastic bikes
as I have seen so many on the road and reading all your comments fair play to all you guys who have spent all their hard earned cash on on one, buying a new bike is
A great feeling
But I’m going to be keeping my original 2013 PP 1200 as after 3 years of ownership I still absolutely love riding it

 

I often think back to my 2015 plate Pikes Peak, which with the value of good old hindsight, I ought to have retained. Fully 'sorted' and a genuine joy to ride, far more so than the 1260S that I bought to replace it, which took me ages to get aligned to/with, even at one point, with the damn awful DQS system introduced on this model, plus terrible throttle handling/jerkiness, I threatened to hand back to Riders, Bristol, if they couldn't sort it out. They sort of did and I didn't.
Even with numerous others on this forum clearly liking and enjoying ownership of the the new V4S model, I still can't bring myself to test ride one, let alone think about exchanging my current 1260S.

I took a V4S for a test ride then bought 2!!! A Pikes Peak and a travel and radar to tide me over while I have to wait a year for the PP

For back ground, I wanted to move away from the Panigale (2018 model) after the fairings started to grow wider and winglets were all too much for me. Went for a Monster 937 which I loved inc. the riding position but just found it a bit juvenile and underpowered, like a kids bike basically. The multi has opened my eyes to a different world of riding altogether.

 

Me too !! I have (had) a Triumph Speed Triple RS and a Ninja 1000sx , been struggling a bit with neck and wrist arthritis, went and test rode the V4s Sport last week, sold both bikes and collecting Multi this Thursday !

 

Strange I had 2017 Pikes Peak and 2019 PP and the latter was far more sorted

 

Yes I test rode the V4S and it’s a brilliant bike but the looks and range make me stick with my 1260 PP. tempted by the V4 PP though …… if only there was somewhere I could test ride one

 

Interesting thread, I also had no intention of getting the V4 and was 100% getting a 22 KTM 1290 SAS it was only at the insistence of a friend did I ride the V4 and it only took one ride.

 

The V4s brilliant bike , on my second now and love every mile I do . Pleasure miles only as well as no commuting.
