Evening all. Ive had a search both in the Forum Search and onlne and cant find the size of the socket/tool needed to remove the OEM oil filter. Can anyone enlighten me or even point me towards one that works? Many thanks.
I actually have one of those. It doesnt work on the Monster 1200 i also have as theres stuff in the way. Im after 1 tool for both bikes really.
I bought one of these for my Hyper - works fine. I'll pop to the garage later and get the info from it & the filter it fits.
Unfortunately I can't remember where I bought my one (online somewhere...) but the pertinent information is the 76A/F & 8 faces info that's just visible, stamped on it. Part number on the filter box is the standard one for my Hyper939 Testastretta.
Just search for a oil filter removal tool for your bike on eBay, I think one size basically fits all the Ducati's. My "cup" filter tool (like the pics above) , has been used the ST2, 1100 Air cooled multi and fits the 1260 multi too !
