so what are Audi planning to do with Ducati?, two wheel drive bikes? a 4 ringed ducati logo? make em reliable? sack all the italian staff and install efficient machine like germans with sterile sense of humour? as they already own lamborghini, bugatti, bentley seat and skoda, a motorcycle company could benefit from of the technology that the cars enjoy as long as they leave the marque and improve everything with added investment..next sports bike will be called : The Ducati ME109
I personally believe Audi's procurement of Ducati is a good thing. What are peoples general opinions on here?
A good thing, just look at how they've invested into other companies in their group. Would SEAT, Skoda, Bentley, Lamborghini and Bugatti be where they are today without Audi/VAG. Analysts and others believe its a poor fit, because its a motorcycle company. What they don't realise is that VAG already owns 19.9% of Suzuki.
I wonder were the new Ducati factory will be built ? Poland ? Most VAG cars/vans if not all are built by cheap labour!
Further improvements to reliability cannot be a bad thing. Granted Ducatis have come on in leaps and bounds over the last decade or so with tremendous service intervals on the Panigale, but ruthless German efficiency and reliability wouldn't be a bad thing to draw into the design. Plus lets not forget it was Audi who brought four wheel drive from the farm yard to the race track.
Well most of new fiats are built there like 500, 500CC, 500 Abarth, 500 Ferrari edition, 500 F1 edition, Punto Abarth's and others. Then we have Opel/Vauxhall astra and Insignia I am quite certain skoda and some Japanese cars. The old Daewoo now Chrysler as well, well was few years back. Funny as Opel/Vauxhall factory is right to German border where across it was German Opel/Vauxhall factory. They closed that as quality was not that good ..... Germans were pissed
Funny thing is most German Cars are made elsewhere.. BMW and Merc have factorys in spain as do VW (seat). I think the only Merc's made in germany are the very expensive ones.
Hm I was thinking there was one closer? Possible it was at the time I lived in Poland. That is not bad I can not remember if it is what I gave one time to David but he called it petrol. No idea why he would say that no petrol taste cherry. You need to try Sliwowica, Krupnik or if you fee lush Goldwasser which is a light herbal vodka with flakes of 22 and 23 karat gold.Goldwasser - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
