Valuations?

  1. Hiya peeps, due to a knackered right hip (68 years old) I've decided to put my 2010 Multi 1100 up for very reluctant sale.
Problem is I have no idea how much to ask. Don't really want to go down the ebay route if I can avoid it.
We buy any shite offered £2,300 but I know they will try to nail my cap on when they come to collect.
There doesn't seem to be any others similar for sale. I'm lucky enough not to be desperate for a quick sale but the sooner I can wave it goodbye, the sooner I can find something else more hip-friendly. Any ideas?
    Best regards, Brian.

  2. Seeing as just a used frame can set you back between £2k and £3k on eBay, £2300 does seem rather a lowball offer. 2010, 1st gen 1200 Multistradas are making £4 to £5k so yours should surely be in the £3 to £4k bracket. Andy

  3. I'd have said under 3k unless an S which may then be in the 3-4k bracket. 13yr old Ducati that is one of the ugliest produced and needs a certain kind of buyer.

  4. anyone who pays 2k for a frame needs to check their bank: they have too much money!!

  5. The aircooled Multi's are quite saleable and have a good following, all depends on what spec it is, mileage, panniers etc.
Being as that is the last year they made the 1100 I'd say it will sell quite easily, you don't see many 1100's for less than £3000. Unfortunately eBay is probably the best places to sell it, if the bikes all good then £3750 would be a good place to start, more if it's exceptional and has full luggage.

  6. I wasn't asking what bikes different people find attractive. As it's only 2022 it's 12 year old, and it is the S. I was just wondering if anyone had any constructive ideas regarding used bike prices. thanks for your kind replies.
    Best regards, Brian.

  7. This Forum has an excellent used bike section if you become a forum subscriber. Put it up forsale at what you feel is a fair price, if anyone genuinely wants it they're likely to make an offer.

  9. More likely to find someone who appreciates what they are too. I had a 1000ds, fantastic bike, and the 1100 has to be one of the best motors Ducati produced imho. Grunt everywhere. You can see why they put the engine in pierbon frames, building £30k plus bikes with them. 110hp, 80lbft, lovely

  10. This is so simple.
If you don’t know how to value your bike write a full honest description abs auction it on eBay. No reserve. £1 start. Let the market value it for you.

  11. Do an advanced search on eBay for sold items and that'll give you an idea.

  12. 2 years ago I sold my 2007 1100S. 15K miles with full luggage, a termi and a few bits of bling for £4K privately to a Ducati enthusiast with an E-bay advert. Mine really was top draw and a pampered bike. I think that was top dollar at the time privately, but the new owner was very happy :)
