Dropped the knackered Supercorsa SC's off for recycling and bought 2 pairs of different brake pads for the (track) Multistrada. Will see how the Braking.it pads stand up at Silverstone. Made in Japan and look strangley similar to the Brembo Z04's. Andy
Went out for a run around the Peak District……..123 miles in total. I wonder what the poor people were doing today?
Worrying about inflation and wondering how they are going to feed their children? Do you mean that sort of thing?
It's one of these kits, plus I bought the cones and rod for the SSSA Ducati set-up. Changing the front tyre on my Multistrada is a breeze, the back 190/55 17 is a bit more of a struggle. Plenty of tyre soap is the answer but I still have to sit on the floor with both feet against the frame to pull the last part of the tyre over the rim. Cheap ALDI compressor, suitcase style one you can see it in the right of the pic of my previous post, is sufficient to seat the bead on the rim. Balancing is relatively easy and haven't had any issues so far. I've had the kit for a few years now and changed quite a few sets. It's a one-off investment in convenience of not having to pull the wheels and drive them to a fitter. Extra tyre soap applied and the last part of the bead pops over the rim. Inflate and balance, rain meant I had to move into the kitchen.
I need a new rain jacket as the zip on my current one is buggered. Arranged to try on the Oxford Rainseal Pro in 3 different sizes at the Superbikeshop today. Mmmm, not impressed one bit, for £100, they looked and felt cheap and were way too short in the body for anyone my height, 6'4". Jacket barely covered my belly button I suppose, against my better judgement, I'm going to have to look to Europe, Germany specifically because no UK outlook stocks the size I want. Andy
Took the covers off the bike as I was in Europe for a month, no oil on the floor so all good. Long trip home tho.
Rescued my mate who'd had a puncture about ten miles from my house. He only fitted the new tyre yesterday
Fitted some carbon heel guards to the streetfighter. Annoyingly, the bolts were too short on the right side, so I’ve used the original ones, until the proper ones arrive at the weekend. Also took off the silver side panels, and put the first coat of Plastidip on. Another coat and I reckon they’ll be ready to go back on in the morning.
