It’s pretty easy tbh. There’s a couple of small bits I could have done better, but the beauty with plastidip is you can peel it off and do it again.
Has anyone found any decent aftermarket levers yet? The ones I got from Probrake aren’t compatible, so it’s back to the drawing board. I don’t really want to spend £400 on the Ducati ones, but at this rate, will probably give in and get them at the first service.
I've just changed the levers on my SF V4S with TWM levers: https://www.roadraceperformanceshro...-clutch-levers-folding?variant=19742096130136 I've also had them on the Diavel 1260S I had, excellent levers imo.
They look good. Nobody seems to list any specifically for the V2, but the Ducati configurator lists the same part number for the V2 and V4S, so I’m tempted to try the Evotech ones, as the pin appears to be the same as the stock clutch lever.
I’ve had Evotech ones on a Monster 821 I had, personally I think the TWM lever are much nicer and better quality.
Ouch! fwiw, I've always thought the Evotech ones were very good quality, but not to say they couldn't be bettered, they are just not _bad_ quality
You're right they're not bad quality, but the TWM levers imo are much better and not loads of money more. Ducati Cambridge service guys very impressed with the the TWM levers. Also some of the Ducati performance levers are virtually identical to the TWM levers. @Multirider75 you can always return them unused if you're not happy with them, but I very much doubt you'd be dissappointed. I'm pretty anal when it comes to accessories, so if I'm happy.....
The Ducati Performance “Kit Leve Snodate Racing” levers p/no 96880011B were made by TWM as were many of its predecessors, if my memory is correct. Andy
I’ve ordered the Evotech ones, partly just to see if they’ll fit, as they’re listed for the V4S, but the schematic looks correct. I’ve got their levers on one of my other bikes, and they’re very good. Granted, not as good as ASV or Gilles, but these should be just fine.
Has anyone fitted bar end mirrors? I’ve got the Evotech lever protectors fitted though, so don’t know if there’s enough room for both? Answers on a postcard.
Yes on my SF V4S, but the ones I fitted you won't be able to fit the lever protectors. Rizoma Spy Arm Bar end mirrors EURO 4. 100mm dia.
Fitted the Evotech folding levers today, just did a quick 20 mile loop to make sure everything works, and they’re spot on. And about £300 cheaper than the DP levers.
I just got my V2 back after the first service yesterday. I haven't had a chance to ride it yet but I expect it will be a different bike now that it doesn't have a 6k rpm rev limit anymore... yeah I revved it higher than that a few times during break in but I get the feeling it will be living above 5k most of the time now that it's been serviced. The real news is, I just can't handle the stock plate holder anymore. I thought I could, but I just can't. It has to go... so what are people using? I'm thinking Evotech but haven't ordered it yet. I'll probably go do that five seconds after posting this so the question is moot but there it is. I suppose I should at least scan this thread to see if anyone has posted anything, but I've been ordering parts for my Superlight so spending mode is on. I should hit "add to cart" before the mood wears off...
