Anyone else signed up for the TT live pass, watched a fair few interviews and pod casts on there, and there showing all practice week and race week 14.99 seems pretty reasonable if your into your road racing. https://ttplus.iomttraces.com/browse
Highlights still on ITV 4 https://www.autosport.com/tt/news/f...-of-man-tt-live-tv-coverage-revealed/8267167/ Pass is only £14.99 for the two weeks which seems quite good value to me.
Looks good, I have signed up. Not everyone can actually get to the Island even if they wanted to so this potentially expands the event massively. I will take my personal laptop to work and plug it into the big videoconference screen in the board room, to watch the Superstock and the Senior as they will be on around lunchtime - it will be amazing !! That will be really cool.
Not good so far. really bag lag. Pixelating and cut off. The stream quality is pants as well. hopefully they work out the issues quick.
Agreed there were a few issues, but not bad overall. I hope they get it sorted as viewing numbers for the big races will likely be much higher and put a greater strain on the streaming.
The quality was poor and stuttering to begin with but they got it sorted pretty quickly. It's an absolute bargain for £14.99, if they can maintain picture and sound quality throughout the fortnight then it's a win/win. More folks will get hooked, the live coverage generates profit, worldwide bike fans get to see what it's all about and attendance on the island grows as a consequence.
It was hit and miss... far too many random long-distance helicopter panning and slow motion action shots, sound quality was awful, editing was random and at least two of the interviews started and then vanished. Presenters left looking shambolic and amateurish, which the likes of Matt Roberts and Steve Plater are better than. Had Manx Radio on in the shed instead, and it was startling how relaxed, comprehensive and detailed the Manx Radio coverage is, much better pacing and sense of what's going on. £14.99 is not a lot of money to pay for high quality video coverage of the TT, however they have some quick improvements to make if they're to convey any sense of the urgency and excitement of TT. I'm giving it the benefit of the doubt Chris Pritchard irritates me, he was quite insulting to Lee Johnston at the TT Launch ("only man to win half a TT") and just comes across as a bit of an oaf, and again they've roped in a female presenter who has all the credentials but doesn't quite come across as having the passion or depth of knowledge to pull the gig off. Amy Williams is no fool, but like Jodie Kidd she pales when compared with pundits like Maria Costello and Jenny Tinmouth, both of whom bring a riders' perspective and a wealth of knowledge to their comments. Again a bit like Jodie Kidd was, Amy Williams feels slightly like she's set up to fail... The other thing that the radio coverage has going for it is that you can be on with other things and have it on, and still get the sense of "being there" without having your eyes as well as your ears tied up, but that's more telly vs. radio than specific to TT.
Signed up for this at the weekend and watched about 2 hours last night. Thought it was excellent. The odd jitter but race day should be amazing…..
Having had the day off work today I've totally indulged on TT+plus live all day slight lag on some shots and like previous comments random presenters fluffing names and knowledge ect..but have to say for 14.99 it's been a bargain
It's great to be watching the action live and it's great value for money. Some presenters are great while others are pants. My only gripe could just as easily be aimed at all the other delayed coverage as well. Even now with reduced numbers of riders starting each race we only get to hear about the first 5 or 6 in the timings, which is useless if you follow some riders lower down the pecking order, and disrespectful since they are all self financed blokes risking their skin and going as hard as they dare. Anybody weaned on BSB and World Superbike and not used to the time trial format of the TT is probably confused with some of the commentary so I think they could take a leaf out of Manx Radio TT and explain that sometimes the caption is showing the leaders on the road whilst the accurate caption shows the leaders on corrected time. It's no substitute for actually being there but it's a very good second. ️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️
I have to say the quality of the coverage has improved a lot over the last few days. I enjoyed the supersport race and the superstock race.
