The Good Liar - Netflix film - well acted, slightly predictable plot/ending - 6/10

 

Just seen the first 2 episodes of my nemesis, Obi-Wan Kenobi.

 

Moon knight. Watched the last one. What a waste of 8hrs that was. Not recommended. Won’t spoil it…but….it’s like a 5 year old wrote the last scenes….

 

Just seen TopGun Maverick - I enjoyed it, a bit cliche with scenes emulating the first film but overall a good 2hrs entertainment

 

We’re off to see it tonight. I’m not exactly excited about seeing it, as I’m expecting it to be another massively overhyped film, but we shall see.

 

I think your going to be disappointed, not because it’s a bad film at all but because, like the British media around World Cup time, it sounds like you have built up such an expectation in your own mind that your willing it to fail.

Just buy a big bucket of sweet popcorn, sit back and enjoy it for what it is…….a Tom Cruise movie.

 

Never seen the first. Wont see the second. Gay icon movie btw in the same category as Wizard Of Oz..

 

I’m having a couple of beers first, so will be more relaxed.

Is that number 7 in the series but actually the start of storyline or another spin off of a character not yet revealed in any previous film, animation, comic, toy or mug?

 

Just back from seeing Top Gun. Very impressed. It’s probably the first film that actually lives up to all the hype.
