…after Ducati changed the coolant spec for the 1200 to the Agip pink, is that still the recommended stuff? I'm also trying to consolidate all the fluids across my three machines: '10 1200S, '04 749R & '02 ST4s - any reason not to use the same in all of them?
Any OAT coolant is fine. I prefer Silkolene products if I can have them. Also found this on another thread: "I ended up contacting the UK ENI distributor. They sell Permanent Spezial and Bike S coolant, the latter being their more recent product. They confirmed that essentially the two products are the same thing, and that I can use either. This is handy because Permanent Spezial is £10 a litre and Bike S is £5 a litre."
Having looked into it into a bit more detail the agip/eni speziale is VW spec G12++. It can be mixed with G12 or G12+ coolant. There are lots of G12++ coolants on the market. If you were to use G12+ instead, they are a lot cheaper as well.
Thanks - that seems to be the equivalent, and all hugely cheaper than buying AGIP in 1l bottles from Ducati dealers
