Isle Of Man Tt - 2022

Discussion in 'Racing & Bike Sport' started by Advikaz, May 16, 2022.

  1. I tried to skip through the 13hours of the first Quali video. Really clunky if you try to FFWD and at about the 5 hour mark I got what looked like a TT/Monster Energy test card….

They’ll need to improve that for sure.

On the flip side, the podcasts are great. Really enjoyed the hour with Lee Johnston yesterday evening.

What experiences are others having on the website?

  2. I agree with that. Who actually wants to watch 13+ hours of footage.

they could do with something like with YouTube where you can visibly see the markers for the start and finish of key points.

i.e start of superbike quali. Or start of sidecars-end of sidecars.

    Interview with blah blah blah.

  3. Yeah spot on. Whatever ‘player’ they are using is not up to scratch for sure.

  4. I think they’re either highlight or specials, like the Fireblade/McGuinness one the other night.

I’ve spent my £14.99. Just hope I can watch stuff afterwards without getting frustrated by the video player, as it’ll be hard to watch it all live.

  6. I see Boothy from 44Teeth has had a big crash and was airlifted to Liverpool with leg injuries.

  7. Hickmans already punched in a 133mph lap from a standing start!

Few others hot on his heels though!

  8. First race at 12:00 today (sbk)

This Tt live pass already being special :/

    Says coverage starts at 10am.

Click the link it says 11:30.

Click start streaming and it says 11:45 haha

  9. I’m logged in watching now, really hope the footage improves. It’s unwatchable at the mo regardless of what quality setting I put it on.

  11. Yep I’m on it at the moment and it’s not looking good. Serious lag. Interviews with no sound and 95% of the time pixelation.

you’d think they have got this sorted by now

  12. Defo. Unreal for a newcomer that lap

  13. He looks well within his limits which is scary

  14. glad it’s not just me, I don’t want to knock the effort they have put in, but I suspect secretly they charged £15 because they didn’t know what demand would be needed, and next year they will probably have it sorted but will want to charge £30!

  15. Yeah, it’s not just you. The organisers have acknowledged the issues. My pal is on the Island at the moment and reckons everyone’s talking about it.

I’m sure it’ll get there, but at this moment in time it’s not really any better than day one.

  16. Such a shame the TT live thing isn’t working properly, at least I picked that up before I paid. ITV4 again, not great but better than nowt

  17. £15 guy's. its been brilliant, plus some great content other than live stuff, ok been a few issues, a years viewing for price of a KFC

  18. Comes to something when you’ve got a rider doing a 128 from a standing start L1 and he’s 28seconds down on the leader at the end of L1

    ridiculous

  19. And I think that's the perspective. It's £15 which is not too bad, but the quality sucks.

Preferred solution = Manx Radio commentary on phone, TT+ on laptop with sound off. Seems like a decent compromise.

Manx Radio AM is free, and the commentary is spot on. This morning's racing was brilliant.
