Woldingham, someone asked me to exhibit a bike there but it was drizzling so it was a no....it dried out at lunchtime but too damn late.
I just returned from a meal with friends and feel wonderful after that wine.... Seriously it's Iggy Pop from the last Pirelli book.!
There was one at Farnham today but organisers a bit prissy over parking so this plus the weather = I didn't bother.
This one was totally different as they're very laidback, also speaking with the ballot box holder, 30 odd cars didn't show on on the day but that help the dogshow in the afternoon........what did make me laugh was the man that organised it, with his wife handing out the voting papers won the damn thing.
Part of what you have said above was definitely a factor, loads of people registered until they were full up and then didn’t turn up on the day due to the weather meaning lots of empty spaces and a lot of unhappy would-be exhibitors.
Just one of those days ahead of me today where nothing is going to get done. Expecting a courier, some time today, expecting a package delivered by the postman, some time today and I have a telephone conversation with the HR department of a local employer about my next door neighbour’s lad who I offered to give a reference for, at 3pm. The weather is pretty poor anyway so, ho hum. Might get the Multistrada out and check it over for Thursday and by the looks of weather forecast, I’ll need to dig out the wets as well Andy
true, certainly with some short-sighted organisers. I went to one of these at Farnham around 12 years ago, Stirling Moss in attendance, a much bigger event, and you just turned up and the parking stewards were trusted to direct you or turn you away accordingly.
Had a great weekend in Northern Ireland. Guess what, the weather was great. Needed sunscreen not an umbrella. Flying back today and planning my next escape.
A very non productive day for me but i did spot this unusual number plate so worth a picture me thinks.
