But he cannot go on like this. He cannot ride like this. He was over the limit in that action. But the second thing is it's unacceptable and makes zero sense that Race Direction, the Stewards, say ‘no further action’ about what's happened in the race. “Today they demonstrated that the Stewards are not at the level of MotoGP.” The Suzuki rider added: “[Nakagami’s] bike touched me and I fly, so badly. I think my left wrist is broken. I will go now to [hospital] to check, but looks bad because I cannot move more than [a bit]. “For sure, I’m injured now. We are racing at 350 kilometres per hour and this is not a game, OK? “So, as I said, they [the Stewards] are not at the level. “First of all, Taka crossed the track a bit dangerously. If there were some riders a bit close to him, for sure he will touch them. "Second, he braked so late and he loses the front. I mean, it's obvious no?” Rins, already angry that no action had been taken against Nakagami after the Mugello clash, added that he will raise the issue of the FIM Stewards’ decisions again in the Safety Commission. “For sure I will put pressure to [change the Stewards] because, forgetting about the incident in Mugello, today I’m injured. One rider took away [my] chances to fight for the championship, but also Pecco. Pecco was there also fighting for the championship and I think not anymore, this year,” Rins said. “They need to change, all the three guys [Stewards] that are there. They are not doing their job well!”

All his fault… he was watching the tower and not his pit board due to its location…and read L1 and last when at that track L0 is last. Oops. My people [with the pit board] were the first ones [out of the last corner],” he said. “So some laps I had no time to look at the laps [remaining on the pit board] as well as the gap with Martin. “I was pushing to the limit so I just watched the gap with Martin, +0.6, then I watched the tower and I saw ‘L1’. So I did one more lap and I didn't remember that here in Barcelona last lap is ‘0’ not ‘1’. And I closed the gas on the straight. “So I'm very sorry for my team because, I didn't have the speed of Fabio to win, but if I want to beat him in the championship I cannot do these mistakes. Today I lost 9 [extra] points, so I'm very sorry.” Espargaro remains second in the world championship but the end of his four-race podium streak has seen him slip 22 points from reigning champion Quartararo. Can see Taka getting replaced by Ogura pretty soon so they wont have to worry about any more shenanigans from him.
Taka has been given a good opportunity in GP ,but is inconsistent and at times a bit of a liability as shown yesterday. He was very fortunate not to have become a statistic looking at the footage . Scary stuff. How he has escaped punishment does make you wonder about how consistently the rules are being applied ?
Gutted for Pecco, he is on good form and to lose it like that through no fault of his own was bad. I am not a suzuki fan, but that was a bad crash - no action is not acceptable for that one
I'm finding it all a bit less fun without Rossi and Marquez. MotoGP needs a couple of characters to inject some life into again... I used to watch it religiously when Stoner was mixing it up. Then MM came along after he quit to keep things on the boil. I think it's all gone a bit sterile now.
BT Sport talking heads have been saying for some time Taka’s seat is at risk unless he starts delivering results. I think his current contract ends this year, so possibly trying too hard in an effort to keep his factory seat....
