Hi Folks, Just about finished my clean up of my late 1997 600ss. I'm wondering how much clearance there is between the top of the handlebar clamp and the bottom of the yoke?. There were no stickers on the forks to show height or angle, but from photo's it looks like 10 or 12mm?. I'll have to guess the angle then adjust the fork stops to clear the fairing and the tank . Around that dimension is fine Alan, but setting up for clearance and rider comfort regardless is the best approach.
That's great Chris, thanks. Those two criteria are my main concerns, one of the reasons I sold my 748 was the riding position, and although I fully realise the little 600 isn't in the same league, it will do me fine, as long as my old body can get on with it. Cheers, Alan.
Sorry to hear, I can relate to this, seeing an osteopath as a last ditch attempt but looks like it’s time to say goodbye to at least one bike.
