I had the hideous carbuncle replaced with the Evotech tail tidy before I took delivery. Looks a thousand times better. I also had my first service done yesterday, and am looking forward to unleashing the full potential, especially as this has been fitted….
My Evo tech numberplate light has failed. It's turned into a strobe. Can't be arsed to take it all apart, sigh.
I’ve had Evotech tail tidies on all my bikes and this is no different, there will be a photo with it fitted earlier in this thread. Recommended.
The problem is that the Akra racing silencers are not road legal, so if you declare them it's unlikely you will get cover...if you don't declare them it is likely to invalidate your cover.
For the first time ever, I think I might need to put the baffles back in! What a transformation though!
Bennetts (at least) have a list of mods you don’t need to declare, exhaust included. “Don’t ask, don’t tell”
Here you go The Bennetts guide to modifications Yes, I'm aware it says "road legal silencers" , race exhausts are by definition never going to be road legal, so whether you decide to push that is a personal choice - but there are certainly a lot of them on the road. I've run Akras in the past, but I've decided not to go down that route with my current bike.
Finally the SF's have arrived in NZ. Put all the extras on that have been stored under my desk for months! Only managed a 100km ride so far, but very happy. Completely different to the Supersport I had.
Nightmare! And they don't send you any spares. It looks great in the photos but I'm going to order another set to tidy up some of the wobbly bits.
