Up and out early for a run to the Royal pavilion weatherspoons in Ramsgate for a breakfast. Gorgeous morning sat outside on the veranda. Got home and spent two hours taking the back end of the bike apart as the stupid little seat latch cable had become detached and the seat was stuck on, what a shit design. All sorted now though.
Put the single seat unit back on v4s after Mugello trip. Changed oil, filter and coolant in the track bike
That nearly got a wtf. I did one a few years back with Stunt Academy. Good fun but expensive for what you got. But I hooked some monsters
Thats the same as this -correct? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/14395048...uA2u-C60I4ywNULefvU16gRoupzEn-4RoCJsoQAvD_BwE Anybody got firsthand experience of these?
Reassembled my VFR forks, and then resprayed several coats of black satin paint on the lowers. Began fixing the lower fairing which was holed. Used some brilliant stuff called Davids P40 Isopon repair paste. Used duct tape on the outside of the hole and also taped a backing support to hold the part in the correct postion/ shape. This stuff is really good and is like fibreglass matt mixed with epoxy -plus its sandable after 30 mins. There's lot more work required on these but its finishing only as they are now super strong. Bargain at £7 for 250ml or 0.5sqm x 3mm -from Amazon. Plus some gardening whilst the paint or epoxy dried. Smell the roses!
This was the one I went on years back. It’s expensive at £250. Two guys crashed on our day which added to entertainment. I doubt it was as “professional” as the more expensive one above. https://www.stuntasylum.com/a-day-at-stunt-asylum
On Saturday I visited the Dainese London store and bought a new 1pc. A Laguna Seca 5. For trackdays. The store is pretty neat. Freindly staff and helpful. I spent more than I was planning to, but heyho. Should deliver today, so this evening I shall be wearing it in round the house. Bike is back in uk, but dont get it till this friday when our delivery guy (John Boakye) collects and drops it for us.
Packed for a three day (two night) trip through Wales on Wednesday and alongside my rear seat bag is a tent - yes a TENT! First time ever camping, so wish me luck and a lack of rain
I preach regularly on packing light on trips and although I have panniers, I 'refuse' to use them, so will be avoiding all low bridges for the trip down I expect to toss the tent and other paraphernalia into the nearest skip at the end of our stay, so should be a bit lighter on the return.
