Swingarm Protection

  1. I’ve been looking for swingarm protection for my Pikes Peak and V2SF, should the worst happen, but have drawn a complete blank.

I have some Eazigrip sheets in the garage I could cut down, so wondered if anyone has done the same? I know that area can get quite warm, so don’t want to risk wrecking the finish, should I ever take them off.

Or has anyone found any other options?

  2. I've never damaged a s/arm so perhaps I've just been lucky?

I've seen ads for swingarm covers in CF but don't really see the attraction. I doubt they would protect against anything at all -more likely its a cover which would collect road dirt behind it.... I like CF and when I can replace (for reasonable cost) a metal part with one in CF I *usually do, but its to replace rather than an addition.

*I've never replaced a tank or wheels as they aren't reasonable cost though I've thought about it many times -perhaps one day!

  3. Yeah, I figured that the handlebars would take the brunt, and keep the swingarm away, but never say never!
