Short 2.5 hour bimble round the fine local country lanes, quick stop to photograph this tree that was damaged in a storm 2 years ago it’s thankfully recovered from losing a fair chunk of itself.
Heads up TdF starts 1 July, Grand depart Denmark this year. Means there’ll be a lot more cyclist out and about on the mean streets of Great Britain. https://www.cyclingnews.com/tour-de-france/ Highlights and very good commentary from this YouTuber and no fudge references from this Aussie.
Brilliant. Most of the twats round here seem to think they’re in the TDF as it is, so it’ll only get worse.

What a morning for it, out nice and early, great on the peddles this morning. 28 mountain bike miles on the full susser
Any ideas why that wasnt on eurosport - every time i saw it on the schedule and turned it on, it was the womens version?
No idea bud, I only watch highlights with Lantern rouge as I enjoy his commentary and insight. Plus I have no Eurosport pass.
Guys, looking for some guidance, bought a e-bike and looking for a decent lock, what do you use. Trying to find something light if possible and been looking at the litelok core. Any advice would be welcome from those with bikes. I don’t intend to leave locked, as the bike is more for weekend ride with the wife as we live just off the Wirral way, which has some great paths a d trails and nice cuppa stops along the way. all part of the new healthy life style change since loosing 7 stone and wanting to keep fit and healthy. I know I paid a lot as it’s an e-bike but not looking for major off-road or jumps, just trail. For those interested it’s the cube hybrid pro 625, and went off recommendation , a 10% discount along with cycle to,work. Brought the cost down to less than half and to a similar price of a normal Halfords bike. thanks Chris
Nice. I don’t I’m afraid, bike never leave my sight ever unless they’re in my garage. I don’t even leave them out post ride. You may be better trawling YouTube for recommendations, the problem with cycle locks is weight. Don’t forget TdF starts soon.
I'm with Ducati scud on this, mine never leave my sight, even when i do breakfast cranks, i eat outside and can still see bike when ordering.
Hi Chris, Glad you found the place, you are possibly only in the first half-dozen to post on here primarily with an E-bike. I am similar re: locking up in that I won't trust leaving it locked out of sight, so just use two or 3 Amazon cheapies as a deterrent, if at all because determined thieves carry a cordless angle grinder with them anyway now. your bike then :-
The Manx Missile wins National Championship, the longest lead out like ever. https://www.cyclingnews.com/features/2022-road-national-champions-index/
Managed very nearly 100 miles in the last three days, which puts me 100 miles short of where I should be in my 3000 mile plan for 2022. Hoping the next few weeks will see me in credit, ready for September when I won’t be able to ride.
TdF, it’s gonna be great. Lots of cyclists will be out and about creating their own peloton over the next few weeks. It might even encourage more people to take up an active interest in cycling. https://www.letour.fr/en/overall-route Seems it’s heading over cobbles for 1 day, hope it stays dry for them on that stage.
Urban Artwork… Hi guys, still in Aus, steady 47 miles crank out to the coast today Almost home when I spotted some urban artwork under a bridge, that I just had to stop and take a picture of.. You know when some people just stagger you with how talented they are and the paintings are so realistic they just take your breath away…. Well it wasn’t these two .. Painted by some girl artist who’s FaceTwit address even said “ badlydrawndogs”…good comical effort * * * After shoving my phone back in my pocket… * * * I turned around and there it was behind me… * * * * Made me verbally gasp out loud….”Wow” !! * * * * You beauty ! * * * * The detail in this thing was incredible! I have no idea how someone goes about creating something like this on a concrete bridge support wall, no idea if it’s a rattle can job, or airbrush, or even paintbrush ?? I just stood and gawped at it for about 5 minutes,…just so awesome, though it was worth sharing
