Looked an 848 evo tonight thats absolutely stunning, strange thing though as owner went to start it theres was nothing, dash lite up but didn't turn over. Was like it had a dead battery, owner was stunned, tried a few times switching on and off, took key out put back in and started straight up. Was there with him for an hour and tried bike 3-4 times and started perfectly, even after about 30 mins sitting there and just as I was leaving we tried it again and no problem. Owner said never done it before, i'm thinking just one of those odd things but also concerned it could be an electrical or immobiliser fault? Other than that and its due a service the bikes spot on with full main dealer service history and only done 7500 miles and just 700 since last major service in 2021
Had they washed it that day? Water around the antenna can stop the key chip being read. Not a big problem and easily solved with a couple of washers to put the antenna nearer the key.
Thanks, could be as was very clean and shinny but a few tiny little dirty marks, could have been washed yesterday
Im very tempted to go for this bike, owner wont take less than 7k for it and its due its 7500 service. Has the cracked screen issue but other than that i couldn't find a single mark on it. Mature owner and i had good vibes from him said he was willing to ride the bike to me we are an hour away and was happy for me to pay on delivery, has a few carbon add ons from new. I think the service due on the bike is a big one with valve check, is 7k over priced considering it's due that service straight away?
Is this the same bike that didn’t start? If not, I’d go for this as said before as it’s an Evo and has better parts on it.
Yeah it didn't start first time was like the immobiliser was on, but stated 5-6 times fine within the hour I was there
