A couple of times on a recent trip my 1098 jumped out of first gear when pulling off, is this a common problem (or feature)?
Not common, but the gear linkage may have slipped out of adjustment. Needs the alternator cover off to check though.
The linkage seems fine, I just reversed the arm on the selector spline. I'll set it to standard and try, it'll take a while for my head to readjust to road shift.
