V4 Aluminium Luggage

  1. Finally arrived , was for the PP but now to be fitted to the V4 s . Had a trial fit an very impressed with quality, can be swinging or fixed , I will try to get some photos once fitted properly. really really impressed , had similar before but not as nice. Well happy

  2. We’re definitely gonna need photos

  3. Will do , think they would suit the look of the PP as seeing one with the plastic panniers dilutes the overall look and visa versa . Will try today .

  6. There’s no way those are going anywhere near my Pikes Peak; I’ll stick to my soft luggage! :joy:

They do suit the regular V4S though. :upyeah:

  7. Are they ducati branded? And if I may be so bold…..how much were they?

  8. Well agree on that as I got rid of mine lol... Only use a 26 soft Ltr bag when on my own on my 10 day trips , this is for the wife for our 2 week trips , have the Top Box as well , pratical and functional but I would never use when solo.

  9. Ducati Branded and a nice bit of kit , the photos dont do them justice to be fair , cost .....well Ducati currency around 1700 , expensive but better than the Touratech , Bmw and others I have before , well happy.

  11. Oh the SW motech Tank bag is great to , also have the micro for daily use , the one shown is the Day Bag for two up trips.

  12. This is it.

Panniers can't look good- fact, but they are produced to serve a purpose and if you've bought a bike to tour two up, then they are a useful accessory.

I don't tour two up. albeit I own a set of OEM panniers to 'complete the bike'. I don't even have the footpegs installed, so they're an ornament.

The Sunday ride out lads with two hard panniers and a top box always make me giggle though.

  13. No rear cross brace from pannier to pannier. Usually passes behind the number plate. If you dropped the bike the panniers would fold in. Brackets on frames to fit one.
Nice kit, but Ducati? Just doesn’t look right for me. Practical, yes, but the Ducati is not a GSA. I could mount a Green house on my GSA and no one would bat an eye! BMW start ugly and stay ugly. Your bike is a supermodel compared to my Nora Batty.
My view only, please don’t take it as an insult.,

  14. No offence taken , but when 2 up for 14 days the kit works simple as that , I can travel with a small 26 ltrs roll bag for my 2 week trips no issues so the panniers are 2 up use only. The rear bar is not fitted for my set up as the frames use the the swinging mounts as road use (as standard plastic panniers), if off road there is more kit to mount to make them ridged/ fixed .

If you Nora Batty is the GS , I love Nora as had quite a few and great she is.

  15. I have been out before full pannied up just to piss folks off as they passed by a fast pizza delivery ducati , now that makes me giggle in my lid. Oh bad am I ...tee hee

  16. Totally with you on Practical. I have Metal Mules on the GSA. Never take them off just to make people giggle at the sheer size of the bike.

  17. Hi, the frames look like a SW-motec setup even tho they have Ducati on them !700 is cheaper that the 2000 for the metal boxes you got with the 1200/1260 models

  18. Clearly always a highly personal choice and whilst I acknowledge and appreciate these are yours, my god I couldn't possibly fit these to my bike. I think whilst undoubtedly practical, they look unbelievably awful to me and I simply couldn't get on my bike, let alone ride it with these attached.
My view and noted completely at odds with yours, but good luck to riding with them.

  19. My wife will be happy , Happy Wife Happy Life lol.

Only when two up as need to carry more stuff , had them on my Gs before and worked well .
They look better in the fleash as Iphones seem to change perspective , have a look on the Ducati configue as the pics are more accurate . It will make travelling for 2 weeks a breeze .
Solo , lite pack and wash in a stream for me but not for my Queen.
