I’d have had a chat with the owner, but they’ve got a bloody stupid queuing/ waiting room policy now, so only one or two people can go in at a time, so by the time I was done, he’d gone. Ended up being there for nearly an hour, which was a total pain in the arse.
I was thinking just the same, what can you recognise? But then homed in on the front sprocket cover, and swingarm pivot detail, and recognised it mainly because there’s one sitting just in front of me LOL Yes, it’s a third series Monster
..was trying to do a "like for like" pair of pics, after seeing green machine it made me wonder just how many Ducati would've sold if marketed in that guise?.. acquired taste/each to their own etc but
Interested to know how good that is, considering one for forthcoming trip to South of France and Corsica. Trouble is will have to buy one for GF too. Assuming it's the Macna Evo Dry in light of your post below? Self and GF went there on Thursday, managed to go straight into the showroom. It's a policy that works for them, not so much for the clients.
Yep, I got the Macna one. They didn't put enough water in, as I went to empty it out yesterday, but the water inside had evaporated! I'm only about 20 minutes from them, but can imagine folk travelling further not bothering to go back in the future. I can understand the system during covid, but now that everywhere else is back to normal, they're going to put a lot of folks off visiting them. Or maybe they'd prefer to be mail order?
I use a Leatt Coolit phase change vest. I keep it in a waterproof Ocean Pack 2l, which I fill with enough water for it to absorb. Or I soak it in a sink/bath etc roll it up and put it in bag. It feels awful putting it on soaking wet, but once on and moving, its bloody marvelous.
As recommanded by @Mac of this parish. Had a look at them but kitting the GF out for this trip is getting expensive and another two of those is going push the budget a bit too far. Might check out one of the cheaper wet options, such as the one suggested by @bootsam, and see how well that works. Jumping into a stream or the sea in my kit maybe an option, have ridden with friends that have done both... Yep, I can see how it would encourage mail order which is maybe their preference . I do like the quality of service that they offer by doing this but on the other hand the long journey plus a wait can be inconvenient in terms of scheduling. Just as well that there wasn't a queue when we went as GF needed to get back to Cheltenham for a work appointment and we were chasing the clock on the sat nav all the way back, made it just in time. Bought her a Klim Marrakesh which she's very happy with.
