  4. Toseland said that he expected both Tarran and Hicky to be in the top 10, certainly early in the session because they have been there recently. A little harsh I thought, they are totally different bike's electronics wise, also I think the WSBK guys have access to latest generation Pirelli's.

His answer when quized specifically about the electronics, was that if they aren't fast they could always turn them off...

  5. He’s just been trying to defend his comments and ended up saying if taz is 2.4 seconds off the pace he’s embarrassing the bsb paddock and should stay there lol

  6. I’m going Sunday.

  7. They were saying it’s the first time since 2019 that the bmw is going faster round donny lol (might have something to with the rider as well)

  11. Bumped into Hicky at the petrol station the other day and he was saying that the WSBK bike is very different to ride, and they were spending a lot of time getting familiar with it. Seemed cheerful enough though. :)

Hope he does well and enjoys the experience, great exposure.

  14. Another win in the bag for toppers and a first podium for 45, nicely set up for later.
Hope @Expat Jack has his factor 50 with him

  15. Well that was almost the perfect outcome if rinaldi had managed to pip rea at the end there.
Quite clear to see for anyone with half a brain Redding hasn’t “gone to bmw for a payday” too. Squirrely little beast still isn’t it :astonished:

  16. Wsbk spec bikes are considerably different to bsb bikes. Maybe you could argue that the bsb boys are more familiar with U.K. circuits though. 6 of one and half a dozen of the other.

Just my opinion but I don’t really think the current crop of bsb riders are as handy as the top ten in wsbk. Wasn’t that long ago that shakey was making everyone look average for years on end pretty much in bsb.. him being out of the championship is about the only reason anyone else is winning (imo)

Hickman has never really been a podium man in bsb, I don’t think the results this weekend are a reflection of him as a rider but I don’t think I would have put him down as a top 10 man in wsbk either. McKenzie… maybe… but he’s not really had any time on the bike and is unwell?

still can’t see either fighting for podiums like shakey did though. Just my opinion

  17. It sure was hot and yes, plenty of F50.
Spent most time viewing Hollywood all the way up to Macleans but did watch the first two laps going into the FoggyS’s. Both Toprak and Rae are so strong on the brakes it’s frightening but Toprak never brakes before Rae, later and harder every time. He celebrated his third win with a massive stoppie right where we were which was awesome.
Watched with @tcrofty7, his son and dad. Popped by to see @bettes abd literally nearly bumped into @Not Carl Fogarty which was great.
Home now with a cold one and a cool shower.

  18. Probably going to be an unpopular comment but the programmes on both Saturday and Sunday were spoilt for me by the inept and incessant ramblings of Hines and Toseland. As for Toseland, having rubbished Mackenzie on Friday, he spent both Saturday and Sunday back tracking and the arse licking and grovelling was truly pathetic. The Supersport racing was great but again spoilt for me by the same inept commentary. Andy
