Black Ice of Summer With the hot weather upon us, here’s a reminder. Be extra careful at stoplights and at intersection turn lanes where overheated cars often dump their glycol coolant. This stuff is as slippery as ice, and under normal braking or lean angles, it can slap you down quickly.
Had the pleasure of 47°c, it wasn't pleasant but nobody died. Why dose this country flap about weather so much?
rumoured to have charger docking problems though, you might have to check if mating flanges are compatible.
These high temperatures are no laughing matter. I’m the full ginger, well I was before I went … umm … ash blond. If it goes over 32C, I spontaneously combust.
I worked in Saudi Arabia for a bit so know about 50 deg C heat. As you say, not pleasant but perfectly manageable. It’s like the modern world want us in a perpetual state of emergency and fear (for controlling purposes) Take covid for example. I’ve got it full blown now and it’s a cold ffs…
“Take covid for example. I’ve got it full blown now and it’s a cold ffs..” Ok.. Not sure what you’re trying to say Mary? In your case it was a cold, got that, sounds a bit right-wing equivalent of woke to me ‘cos in other peoples’ cases it was death. I would think yourself lucky and just get on with it?
And I could ramble on about death/covid data but I can’t be arsed. It’s boring now. On to the next terrifying emergency- the sun’s coming out tomorrow
Miss fairy that's great that you have a full blown covid cold and that most of the world will get away with just that Just remember that there are extremely vulnerable people like myself having to avoid the blasé attitude, im sure like my friend when they had covid you didn't stop for one minute to think you may pass by someone that could become very ill when going on holiday or about your business After having a stem cell transplant a few weeks ago I have no immunity to anything that's covid/measles/mumps/chicken pox/shingles Im now at very high risk of being extremely ill from covid and im still sheilding as many blood cancer people are having too as many don't make immunity even from 5 vaccinations/boosters All im asking is that you and anyone else stop to just consider us as you go about your day to day and don't be selfish we should be caring about each other not hating
