I maintain that the heat in this country is some of the worst I’ve experienced - and I’ve been to some pretty damn hot places. I’ve been out running in 30+ in some of these countries. I don’t even feel like moving in a 30degree england
Mistakes resulting in death are usually the sort of things that get in to Darwin awards threads… play silly games .. win silly prizes. That’s why we’ve now got kids grabbing railway lines and parents saying “there wasn’t a sign” …. Telling fully grown adults that they mysteriously can’t eat a yanki candle is cancelling your subscription to the human race. There’s an extremely high level of mongs walking amongst us and they’re breeding! if I drove my car off a cliff following a sat nav, this isn’t society’s problem that I’m a weapons grade retard. Part of evolution is that the Wheat is sorted from the chaff
They do and also have pools and the sea to dip into to cool down plus air con in hotels etc This country isn't ready for heatwaves
Yanki candles do smell good enough to eat though Also hair products look and smell like food these days and they have, don't eat me on them. Some look like yoghurts There will be people/children that try to eat them
Children yes (not that they’ll read the warnings/may be unable to read the warnings anyway)… adults? Really? i knew a girl when I was a teenager who’s parents sued centre parcs because their daughter (age 16) stuck her fingers in a toaster when it was on… they won. that same girl also scolded herself on a kettle - same outcome a few years later. having to tell someone that a toaster or kettle is hot is like me telling you that water might be wet… do we really want this future for the western world?
Do you think we should be looking at insurance companies and the bigger picture for encouraging blame culture Parents do need to take more responsibility for their kids
Remember the American woman who got a take away coffee and drove with it in her lap, then it spilled and burned her foo-foo? IIRC, she won a fortune and that's why most take away coffee cups have a note - 'Caution - contents hot'.... Fvcking classic
People in general imo need to take responsibility for both themselves and their actions. just my opinion anyway
who said anything about banning? a lot of the "against" on this thread are saying that warning and extra warning and notifications should be removed, as I understand it. "i'm 'ard and tough i am - stop telling me to wuss down, you need to "man up" like wot I am. and i've lost the remote controller.
Irrespective of which side of the said fence you reside, I love the fact we're at P7 and it proves the point that the British do love to talk about the weather!
Oh yes, that litigation culture is imbecilic. But so was McD serving coffee so hot that a genuine, predictable accident would see you in A&E. Disclaimer: by genuine I mean tripping while leaving the counter, or someone walks into you. Heads up: McD bogs are unappetising when tripping.
The biggest danger to health is tripping up stairs due to wearing flip flops. I shall have to sue the company who made the stairs.
