As usual the radio talks to 'people' who are drinking cold drinks & eating ice-cream. Meaning they are not equalizing their temperature upwards & inadvertantly adding to the bodies struggle to cool. Even with a department for emergency; they didn't state drink a hot drink with a glass of water left to get too day-time temperature to mitigate sweating. And don't wipe away sweat from your brow, it helps evaporate & then forms a layer of minerals to speed up cooling. Yes it itch's for a while but once you learn too go through a bit of annoyance for a happier state of being. You'll not fight the bodies natural process. Now shall we talk about drinking your own urine??
Loads of kids haven’t gone to school because it’s too hot (ours have gone in) yet they’re out in the sun, parents are hypocritical bastards. Yesterday I was on a roof in Lambeth working on one of our machines, it was 50 degrees in there, didn’t complain just worked through it. Every time I saw the news it was about this heatwave and we are all going to die. FFS, I’ve Been in Singapore in 90% humidity, fully PPEd up, Indian fellas sleeping next to our engines at lunch time to keep warm!!! Our media does love a crisis (or to make a crisis)
Just seen a idiot walking his dog on a tarmac footpath, had to do u turn and have a word, media should remind people about there pets, dread to think how many pets have been distressed by there owners stupidity. That’s the point: they have been! Stupid people will always be stupid. Regardless how many times you tell them. My missus used to say ‘hat and cream’ I still didn’t.
