Has anyone had a small ticking sound when pushing bike forward or back from rear wheel just wanted to know if its normal or if anyones heard the same tick. No binding or anything 2022 v4 tia
It’ll be the rear brake pads as you go backwards and forwards just moving slightly in the calliper tick tick
Could also be „neutral“ fooling. Sometimes it’s in between, no green light but neutral moveable and it gives a light ticking in the box. Check your green light is there, than you can rule out this neutral fooling.
Hi guys thanks for the replies. Just took it apart cleaned everything. Nothing out of the ordinary. Realised it only happens when the 2 eccentric hub bolts are tightened up. When i loosen them the sounds gone
Have you tried it? And has it got rid of the click? I have a similar issue with my track bike. Only been out on it once and there’s a click, a slight notchiness in the hub if I move the wheel side to side and a massive vibration at anything over 110mph for the rear. I presumed the rear hub hadnt been assembled correctly by the previous owner and was going to strip it but might check the bolts first. good find
havent gone 110mph to see what it feels like but have done them at 20nm now there is still a click 1 or 2 times but nothing like before. Theres no play or anything in mine its just an annoying sound. Stripped everything earlier found it only happens when them nuts are tightened. Also when i tighten them theres abit more force needed to spin wheel not sure if thats how it is meant to be but my first ducati so its all a learning curve lol. When i stripped it earlier the shaft would not even come out from hub which i dont think it should be like that so ill be booking into dealers tomorrow as its under warranty just didnt want it to go in if i could sort myself
Ok, yes, for some reason I'd seen that a while ago. Ducati reduced the bolt torque because of your issue. Definitely summat not fully thought through in the design dept....
