Just after I'd signed and paid the guy said 'by the way it's had a new engine'. It went back again and again.
There was as i can recall at least three blown 2018 engines around here, small part of Sweden. One guy didnt even make the trip home from the shop before it was finito..
Raced no, tracked yes at Nurburgring. Fully serviced and oil changes done I think after about every 3 weekend trips there. as soon as I hear any results I’ll update.
I had the 2019 model V4S which I think was essentially the same as the 2018 model and had no issues with it at all (exchanged it for the 2022 V4S)
May I also ask you is there much difference or any noticeable improvement in the way a 2022 V4S rides/performs/emits heat compared to the 2018/2019 V4S?
The 2022 model is more refined, mostly due to software updates, although the tall first gear makes it a pain in traffic and around town. The first incarnation of the Panigale V4 was, in my opinion, a bit rough around the edges, and although very engaging to ride it was not the easiest bike to ride, but I am influenced by the fact that I also have a BMW S1000rr so inevitably make comparisons to that.
I see. My bike is a 2018 model bought a couple of weeks ago with 130 miles only. It's going in to Ducati next week to have all the recalls done including some software updates. Are the software updates that you were talking about only on the 2022 model?
There is a track biased software upgrade for the 2018/19 bikes. IIRC, allows you to set up for wets. The latest software upgrade is 2022MY specific. Andy
