Evening All A mate of mine has just bought a 1998 M750 import and wants to change to an MPH speedo. Anyone know a breakers specialising in Ducs? Any ideas gratefully received. Cheers
I've got one I'd be willing to part with for a reasonable sum, but it might have the mounting studs sheared off the back at the rubber bit. I'll have a look tomorrow.
Thanks, that'd be great. While you're at it could you assess how easy it is to swap the actual speedo within the housing, assuming that it's the housing that may have the damaged studs? Look forward to hearing more....
Sorry Indiecourier, as I thought, both studs have sheared off through the rubber part: It's in otherwise very good condition. I have opened them up before, by running a very fine modeling saw around the case half way up then gluing it back together with some tape wrapped around the join to make sure it stays together. Note the only Superglue I've found that works on this type of thing is Gorilla Superglue Gel, not the normal stuff.
