err, thats not really ideal

    I too have had experiences such as yours - I have found this the worst group to be in - for exactly the reasons you have mentioned - if you are a progressive rider, I've always found it safer in the fast group, the guys /girls there are much more predictable with lines and braking. That said, you must be gutted. The last off I had was at Graham Hill bend, all my own fault ! Didn't think I was going fast enough through the corner, so I was determined to give it the berries next time - ended up on my arse - eventually -half way up the grass bank. Did the engine cover so that was it - and that was half way through the morning session. Bugger.

  5. Magic sold me both side panels and the new tail. All very reasonable and helped me out with all the collection stuff too :upyeah:

  16. I've only just seen this thread, sorry to hear about your off, at least you are ok. Unfortunately if you ride on track you will have an off at some point, that's why I bought my old K2 GSXR, I wasn't too worried if I chucked it down the road (and I did, a lovely little highside at Rockingham a couple of years ago)

    it looks like you have had a cracking job done on the repairs though! I would suggest a set of track fairings if you do intend on tracking it again, the ebay Chinese race replica ones seem to get a good write up on trackdayriders and they are quite cheap too.
     
  17. YEah the trackday fairings are certainly on the shopping list. Pheonix kept telling me to get some, but I didn't listen. There's still a few bits to do (mudguard and brake lever being the worse). My new stomp grips should be arriving soon in order to protect the crown jewels :upyeah:
     
  18. Hi Matt, all looking good! If you need track fairings too give us a shout got a spare set. Full bike including seat in white gel coat, never fitted. Why don't you save a few £££ and just use the damaged ones for future trackdays!

  19. Hey Magic. Yep, that's the ultimate plan. Bit worried about the damage to the right panel as the mounting brackets for the small triangle piece at the front of the fairing snapped in the crash. Im sure this is just for air flow thou, but don't really want too much pressure building up at the front of the fairing. Im sure i'll work something out :wink:
