Still infected with the no longer existent CoVid thing. Sweating, head ache, muscle ache and lungs like a bitumen tank. On the bright side it keeps the kids away and I get to sleep in the box room bed
Had a run over to Ducati Manchester this morning. Set off in glorious sunshine but as soon as I got to the Saddleworth sign on the Isle of Skye road it started to lash down. As I was soaked through within a couple of mins I decided to carry on and it continued to rain to Mosley, where it was dry. When I eventually got through Ashton under Lyne and on the motorway the rain started again. I kept going and it stopped around the Stockport pyramid. From there on the sky was blue, but I was soaked and my nether regions were rather damp, and not for the right reasons Anyway I had a couple of coffees at Ducati Manchester, few chats, and eventually dried out before setting off for home. The ride home was spirited Tonight I’m off to Saltaire for a curry
Took the cover I bought from here off the bike and stood like a lemon and looked at it for a bit. Not sure what it is, but can't motivate myself to get out and ride recently, including turning down mates invitations. I'll get over it.
Snap. It’s one of the reasons I’m playing so much golf. Just CBA even tho the fellas are a great laugh and I always enjoy the ride when I do get out
The problem is, I like a different course every time, so this week, High Wycombe, Liverpool and Grimsby - around 750 miles to hit a ball a few times Next week, closer to home at Bury and Dukinfield. High Wycombe was 28 degrees and pretty hilly, so knackered, but the fairways were that hard, I played the course and hit a 7 iron of a 420 yard par 4 and was 80 yards out. Made a great second shio to within 6 feet and birdied - the only one of the day for the eight playing.
My club is 5 min from home, it’s why I joined during first lockdown as I don’t commute 3hrs 4 times a week now
Second meeting with the attorney to sort my Dad’s estate today. He sounds like Tom Selleck, and is as mad as a box of frogs. Had the wake the other day, which was quite entertaining, as most people here are also crackers. About to go to meet up with a few of my Dad’s friends for drinks and dinner, which will be nice.
Made lots of noise, thanks Mrs Jbiker, Marshall valve amp. Wow. Turn it up to 11...fek 3 is loud, but now Sabbath sounds like Sabbath, the FlyingV, awesome. Tis a beast!
