I was under the impression early 916’s had Showa rear shock

Also, I see the speedo is in KMH. Weird.

 

IIRC, all 916 ‘s of that era delivered to the UK had a kph speedo fitted and the UK mph speedo in a box to be fitted by the dealer. Quite a few kph speedos got out into the wild though. Andy
