Well. Time flies. In late April I got a Tuono v4 Factory in an attempt to try something different as opposed to sports bikes. It didn't work! I just could not get on with in essence a full fat sportsbike with upright bars. So. it had to go.

Replaced by what I hope will become a bit of a keeper/do everything bike.

It's the Sport version with upgraded forged wheels, thicker discs, Li battery, endurance chain, Akra end can etc etc. So, nicely equipped. I am going to try and resist throwing bits at it. So far just the essentials - rad guards, bobbing, bar end weights (hopefully deaden the vibes a bit - the Tuono was as bad) and evotech tail tidy on order.

Amazing bike. Under 8k you just pootle along and when the fancy takes you, over 8k the shift cam comes in and it all goes very very blurry. Comfortable enough to tour on etc etc.

Lets see how long this lasts.o_O

  2. That's a very nice looking bike, and I hope you will be happy with it.
Yours is a newer model than the one I had. Mine was a 2016 performance pack model without the electronic suspension, but with Akra silencer and seat cover etc, however no shift-cam. The bike was easy to ride and had all the performance I required. The main problem I had with it was that it needed to be revved, unlike a large capacity twin. Although, maybe the shift-cam makes a difference to the more modern engine characteristics.
At the time, I did some checking of the RR road bike power and torque curves and they were very close to the road going V4, but not the V twin.
After owning it for less than a year, I sold it, and eventually bought another Ducati twin cylinder.
Well done with the purchase, good luck with the bike, and happy riding.

  3. Under 8k it feels like a bike with about 120-130 bhp at rear wheel. So my GSXR 750 or a V2. Plenty quick enough for most situations.
Over 8k it’s just mental as you get all the power with a bang. Lovely.

  9. I'm becoming increasingly of the mind you are a secret motorcycle dealership. You have a steady stream of different bikes coming and going and of course your own paint shop...

It looks very nice -enjoy the ride!

  19. Don’t expect those Metzeler Racetec RR’s to last long. The endurance K3’s on my Multistrada lasted a day and a half at Almeria + the Silverstone Ducati day :joy: Andy

  20. Fitted the paddock stand bobbins plus Evotech bar ends. Next up is this tank pad from Motograffix. I rather like it, great match for the bikes colour scheme and only £23. Winner.
