Evening All, Does anyone out there know where I could get my Dianese boots repaired? The zip has gone and I have tried to repair them but no luck Cheers
When the zip went on my Alpinestars boots I took them to a guy who repaired Motorcycle leathers. He stitched a new zip in for me using his industrial sewing machine.
+1...these people are top notch, i posted them my Sidi boot with a bust zip and got it back within a few days good as new - recommended.
One of my recently acquired staffie pups chewed the finger shredding ratchety bit off one of my Alpinestars gp pro boots. The little twat. Not mention multiple Oakley sunglasses, wife’s Mulberry handbag and Jimmy Choo shoes. A dark day that was…. Anyhoo, fixed said boot with a black tie wrap. Up to now, not spotted by scrutineering at track days. I’ll have to bite the bullet soon and get a new pair. It’s a bit of a pain snipping off the tie wrap every time I take the boot off. And of course applying a new one when I put it back on. Tough life
@AndyF Chris at nine lives just did my left boot. Dainese In, he is about to do my other. (I have 2 sets, zip went same place). He did great job too. Hill 4 leather won't be able to fix them. Chris can.
@bootsam Why don’t you think Hill4Leather can’t fix them? Also, I thought Chris was ceasing his Nine Lives work. Is he still going (I hope so!) after all?
This link to a previous thread may help: https://www.ducatiforum.co.uk/threads/recommendations-needed-for-dainese-boot-zip-replacement.53337/ . Tom. Also these: https://bootrepaircompany.co.uk/collections/motorcycle-boot-repairs . https://m.gbbikeleathers.com/wp/biker-boot-repairs/ .
Ninelives as a business has ceased to trade. Chris is an architect now although he will do the odd job out of Lymington. Andy
The zips on Dainese boots are bizarre. Why don’t they build in a flexible attachment from the zip to the boot? Great boots but the zips are a pain.
I had my race boot zip repaired by Timpsons (the High St shoe repair place). They had to send it off, but it came back with perfect repair at a good price
Chris has now sorted my other dodgy boot from my spare pair and the zip on my Dainese troosers. £174 inc postage for both. Top man.
I had my Dainese in boot zip repaired by Bike Stop Ltd -https://www.bikestop.co.uk was quite reasonable cost at 85 pounds plus postage
Just recieved my other boot from my other pair from Chris at 9lives and my dainese trousers with a broken zip repaired. All repaired to an excellent standard. Top man Chris.
