Don‘t quite understand why the FE fetch so much more than a 02 998s. The only difference is the plague and Ohlins front - the 02 has sandcast cases, Ti internalls and the better looking Marchesini wheels instead of the multistrada leftovers. Well maybe just engineers envy the 02 S.

 

Cos FEs are owned by all the cool kids

I alway felt the 02 998s was the one to have.. If you couldn't get a 97 sps

 

Did you not know that the FE letters represented Find and Empty the shelves as we've a new model arriving vey soon.

and there were less ‘plain Jane’ 998S released than any of the various Ltd Edition ones (Bayliss, Bostrom, FE, Matrix) so bizarrely the unlimited edition is in fact the most limited edition

Difficult to value, but surely any value being attached to it starting life as a MK1 Superlight, has dissapeared by the extensive modifications made to it.

 

100% unless you can purchase a 1992 date stamped full fairng kit etc.

 

A good question and let's hope they got good value for money at £95.00, no mention of the locks in the invoice, perhaps customers own.
