How long does it take to recover from a broken heel ? I see MM will be in the paddock to “discuss” the performance of the RCV213 R for 2023 with the engineers and Bradl. Andy
Am no doctor of course but would imagine it’s one of the better bones to break if you’re sat on a bike largely using your arms and body weight to steer?
Judging by the way he reacted to finishing a lap early in Catalunya, any actual injury could put him out for the year. (This was the race he burst into tears like a 2 year old)
Bagnaia's on a roll at the minute and judging by last years results he came in second, so who would vote against him with his current form.
This, 100%. It took him a while to get going, but 1 race, 2 races and Fabio would have had problems with the performance of the Yamaha versus talent last season. If, if, if….but Bagnaia has to be a worry to the other two (3) challengers after he finished the 2021 season so strongly.
If you've been to Valencia as a spectator it's probably one of the best. Silverstone has to be the worse for spectating though.
Also other riders will get in the way at the end of the season as they've a point to prove to themselves and their team / sponsors.
Yep ive been to Valencia and yes you get to see "the whole lap" but who gives a shit when the racings that boring. At least you always get good racing with plenty of overtakes etc at silverstone and the bikes get to stretch their legs properly. They barely get out of third gear for 90% of the lap at valencia. A ring is just a point and squirt (oo'eer missus etc..).
Ex-Scooterist I'll have you know. I havent ridden a Lammie since circa 90ish. Ever since I got my GS750DB and discovered brakes.
My father was an original Mod back in the day, for me i need to get there a little faster these days, but i can see the point in a twist & go around town for that superlative moment.
A scoot is not twist and go. Lambrettas and Vespas have clutches and gears. The twist and go things are not scooters. Theyre mopeds without pedals. I was a mod once, circa 77ish to 1980ish until I understood Quadrophenia, after that I was just a scooterboy and did my own thing. Mixing Psychobilly with Northern Soul, Ska with Indie etc. When I was a mod, there were all these 50yr old teddy boys knocking around. I said to myself, I dont ever wanna be like some old guy reminiscing about their yoof and trying to be the same. You need change and progression. Seeing fat old mods on crappy LI's we couldnt even give away back in the day makes me giggle. Daft twats. It makes me giggle even more to see the reg plates and them being made in the 80's or later like a fucking Indian GP or a fucking Servetta. Nope, has to be Italian and pre 77 for me for a vespa and 69-71 for a Lammie personally (GP), but I do like the SX and TV/GT. I enjoyed my time as a scooterist, was a larf. But thosedays have passed and I never wish to revisit them. I need to move on and have. The fucking prices for LI125's what dumb fuck pays that? My first GP150 cost me £5 and to mow an old ladies lawn in 1981. I spent the next day bump starting up and down the hill before I was told I needed a spark plug in it. I knew fuck all.
Said Quartararo ........ never I presume this is done to curb the huge bias of the old track to Ducati.
I will be there - got my ticket ready. Only general admission. Not sure how much walking around the circuit can be done like you can at Assen, Mugello, Le Mans, Catalunya - or not, like Aragon. Soon find out ! To make things even better - will be turning up on my new KTM - how cool is that Probably only make it in time for Sunday race day. Hope KTM win it (like last year) only without the rain The Ostrich Grand Prix - get in there !
Nope. It has been done to try and prevent the type of high-speed Zarco/Morbidelli crash that nearly wiped out Rossi and Vinales at the following corner. The crashed bike whipped across the track whilst still airbourne and went in the gap between the two riders missing them by what looked like inches. Rossi looked like he had seen a ghost when he arrived back in the pits after the resulting red flag.
