Busy day at work. Daughter cooked dinner which was nice. Warm evening so ate in the garden. Dad popped round on his new bike, he's rather chuffed. He's always wanted one apparently. A few months ago he said, no more bikes 10 is too much hassle. Am I going to end up like him when I'm 75?
Exchanged contracts on my house today. A 35 year plan finally came to fruition. Happyfuckingdays. Proper retirement here I come. I celebrated with a cuppa and then went back to insulating and boarding out the ‘garden office’ as it was all part of the deal. Ok, I admit, there were beers and wine later and I never thought I’d be happy to see rain in my entire life. Only goes to show how your attitude changes when you’re retired.
Good luck with that as it's a fickle market at the minute, perhaps post them up here for him as there're many that like those horses.
I’m a little envious of your rain, although I know you have been missing out in the southeast for some time. Not a drop here though in the East Midlands.
We had thunderstorm last night Bit of drizzle this morning it's overcast and around 17 degrees Lovely
No rain here at all yet, though it’s forecast for later this afternoon. Just been across the road chatting with Slow Dave. Seems I’ll not be able to call him that after Friday as he’s sold his 6 month old GS to Pidcocks in Nottingham and they are collecting it then. Reason for sale? He’s fed up of people trying to knock him off his bike when he goes out.
Without these Johnny foreigners planting and picking our crops we would be fecked, question's where're all the British workers for this type of thing.
Growers need trained pickers, not students on a summer break. Anyway far too back breaking work for some of the spineless spongers in this country Andy
I told him that if he rode faster he’d have passed the point ages before where someone was trying to hit him
