Have to say though, riding in this country is becoming more and more dangerous. So presumably it’s now not just Slow Dave but No Dave when it comes to riding.
I had every intention of doing just that but felt the forum was not ready to see this darker side of me Andy
A little progress. The VFR now sports a complete wiring loom with ignition & key!, subframe & undertray, forks & head race bearings and a bit of purple goodness from Maxton. Despite the thread title, this was not all done today I hasten to add. I used the ABBA with front lift for the first time & its actually pretty good; easy to use & very stable. Worth the £50 odd quid probably. TBH I've had it over a year and thought it would be crap -so more fool me. Its good having a project to meddle with.
Waiting on the window people phoning me today on some remedial works that need attention, plus the architect needs another site visit. I'll take my dog & phone with me as i'm not sitting around waiting all day for perhaps a no show from both parties.
I've just bought the extension bars like the ones you've posted about above and note your positive comments. I'm looking forward to trying them out, the next time I need to lift the front and rear off the ground.
I think you will be pleased with them. I've used my ABBA stand on a few different bikes and have never had any problems or issues, but I also didn't feel that the bike was 100% solid. That could be due in part to the carpeting. When using the front bars its a totally different story and I expect from now on I will always use them whenever the bike is on the stand.
Same, plus dentist and now going to attempt to fit the coloured panels on my panniers. Never use them, but they were on backorder from when I bought the bike about a gazillion years ago, so may as well sort it.
What's happened to our @Carr01 of late I missing his writing & sense of humour skills that are a pleasure to read.
Visit to Brixham today and saw this, curious what model and is it a special edition, was a nice looker.
