  1. as to Stoner fan club.. on 7 and 8 of august...

  2. your source.....

  3. to return to gp koen or just as a informant??

  4. Not a bad test rider eh :)

Maybe ducati need to get their bikes in the pit lane and after he's warmed up on the Honda take the desmo out for a good old fashioned thrashing.

Audi dig deep and he will come!

  5. Hope he isn't making a return!!!! Stick scott redding on it ,theres lots of young fliers out here

  6. While he may not be universally popular, Stoner is the best out there. I would imagine there will be a few nervous riders watching this story. All the teams will want him if he's thinking of making a return.

  7. Would be great to see he back on a bike. No pressure, just Stoner riding, which is a sight to behold. As for getting him on the Desmo. Waste of time IMO as he's been the only man to be able to ride it consistently

  8. have to agree, there may be lots of younger riders out there who are fast and deserve the chance rightly so, but there's also plenty of far slower and older riders out there who aren't anywhere near as fast as stoner.

IF stoner did want to make a come back (which i doubt) i think there are plenty of riders that should lose their seat before blocking the youth if it came to that, although as mentioned above i think Honda would simply put another factory bike on the grid for him so if anything it would just increase the grid numbers which is a good thing.

Audi get your money out, Scott redding & Stoner partnership (apprenticeship if you will), let scott do the PR and let stoner lead the way.

  9. Stoner is a whinging Aussie pussy who got lucky, then bottled it after Marco unfortunately died. Yes, he has some talent, but he will never be regarded by me as one of the 'aliens'

  11. Stoners lap records prove he is an alien! Hence why Honda want him to test... They said he will not wild card as some were saying (did not read he article here but on Hondas site) last season it looked like he could not be assed and just rode the bike into retirement but he did say he missed it.. Wish Ducati would get someone like Bayliss to develope the bike.....lol coz lets face it not much seems to be going on with wins at the mo.

  12. I've said before and I really believe that there are no development riders , Rossi couldn't get the motogp effort on course , Bayliss is supposed to be the one who helped "develop the pani , and its shite. However Stoner would be the perfect test rider as he's fast as. Exactly whats needed for the technicians to try something at race winning pace then decide to disregard it or change it. Just my 2p , although because Ducati had an Alien (in Stoner) they didn't believe they had a problem with their bike, shows how remarkable a rider Stoner was imho.

  13. You are talking rubbish about Bayliss and the Panigale. The only reason it isn't competitive in WSBK is that its very heavily restricted by the WSBk rules.

It's doing fine in World Superstocks and the Kawasakis, Hondas et al can't catch it. Only one BMW seems able to beat it.

  14. Stoner also got on a bike in 2007 that won him a world championship. It got worse and worse after that with his development help.

  15. Sssshhhhhhhhh Peter ! You'll have some on here gnashing their teeth with praise like that.

  16. The only time a Ducati has done fine in any championship was with the 999 . That was the only time they had no displacement advantage . 1200cc against 1000cc without restriction is unfair .

  17. Displacement means nothing if you are having to run with restrictors in place.
