So what have you done today..?

  1. Helped a friend in need with stripped clutch splines, typical BMW R1150 problem, bad design.
    25+ years experience wrenching oilsheads.
Took us 1.5 hours to get the tranny clean of.
Estimate max 3 hours rebuild including fixing some other minor problems we found while having the bike split.
We decided to replace with a used gearbox because the splines on primary shaft suffered some damage as well.

  2. Funniest thing about being on ignore is not knowing who the hell you’re trying to help. The fun thing is trying to work out what you’re talking about. Has OP been dumped and said dumper moved but not updated her details….

  4. Went to the Mull of Galloway cafe for lunch:upyeah:
Stunning views but a bit windy so ate inside. Didn’t want a stray Puffin wearing a tuna/mayo beard:p

  5. It stopped raining long enough for me to change the oil and filter on my car, it’s been 2,500 miles (and 6 years) since the last time I did it. Hate working on cars but it all went very smoothly, still prefer spannering on bikes any day.

  7. Well done you, but i don't see that lasting until the christmas festival season.

  8. Wouldn’t last until the weekend in my house. Especially as I’ve got a mammoth sized jar of Nutella in the cupboard for dipping!

  14. I’m so relaxed, I’m virtually horizontal :joy: To be fair, I prepared both bikes over the weekend and as it appears that I’ve been bumped up to deputy group leader :p I have loaded all the routes onto the splat nav and run off backup copies of the copious amounts of ferry and hotel bookings paperwork  Guess the “highlight” is going to be is the day we do a route taking in L’Armentier-le-Haut, Alpe D’Huez, Col du Croix de Fer, Lacets de Montvernier, Col de Chaussy, Col de la Madeleine and Col de Tamie :astonished:o_O:scream: Andy
