nothing finer than lying flat on the tank and looking ahead between the two clocks ........ rev counter not working btw. thanks loved it.
I wondered if someone would notice! It does work but only at half speed (2500 indicated=5000rpm). The 60mm electronic rev counters are easy to get quite cheaply for twins but not singles. I may revert to the original Smiths if I can repair it!
Had the rims for the 900ss repainted and picked them up yesterday, looking forward to getting them on. Very happy with the result, painter did a great job.
That looks rather lovely. I am in the market for an early bevel twin, preferably a 1973/75 750Sport, but I could suffer one of those if it was in as good condition. Good luck with the sale, ‘If only it were closer’ actually applies in this case!
Bloody gorgeous, Brian, go for it you wont regret it im sure will great in your lounge and give me an exscuse to pop around for a cuppa
A couple I finished and have since been sold. 750GT 160 Monza Jr I have a couple other single cylinder projects, but they're not done yet...
She runs sweet as a nut, but needs some TLC, so on to the bike lift for engine out and a front to back fluids, lines, pads, bearings & filters service. Hopefully be ready for TT '23......
Wheels back from painting, new rubber, bearings and had the disc hubs re-painted. Forks are back from service and had them repainted as well as the callipers. New black Hel, brake lines, service kit and sending off fixtures for re-galvanising. Just got to clean the frame up then re-assemble rolling chassis for re-uniting with the soda blasted engine and vapoured carbs.
