You are a friendly lot I recently posted a question on a rib forum about my outboard carbs and didn't get a single reply - it turned out to be a stupid question because the answer was actually printed as a diagram on the air box but you lot have always been happy to answer my stupid questions In the absence of a Ducati picture here are a couple of my Yamaha 2-stroke outboard and the before and after spark plugs
Received my leather trousers today, and bloody hell they’re tight in the leg! They’re ok on the waist, just, but I’ve got rugby players legs, so they’re shall we say, snug! How much does leather stretch, in time, as I don’t want to send them back for the next size up, only for the next pair to be big and saggy after a few rides?
Threw a dry bag on the big and headed off up the A9. Had a fuel stop at Aviemore, I think it’s a shithole but it has petrol and coffee and I needed both. While there I met Dave and Jim, two local bikers. They gave me a guided tour of some excellent roads in the area to brake the monotony of the A9. Excellent roads and excellent guys. Dave is sometimes on the forum, but I don’t know his user name. Anyway, Dave, if you happen to login, big thank you. Tonight I’m in Balintore, north of Inverness on the coast. Tomorrow- who knows!
I went to see the Doctor yesterday with a small list of six items built up, she said to me your only allowed one item at a time. Anyway i managed three out of six in the end.
I was out riding on Sunday which I don’t normally do and I spotted a guy on a bend taking pictures of me and then just after a sign with his website name so I had a look today and sure enough there I am! Pretty good pictures but at £12.50 per picture it’s a bit pricey imho. Didn’t know this was a thing.
I had this early summer, I came barrelling round a sweeping bend to see a guy in a high viz jacket pointing something at me. I thought it was the police and a speed camera!. I slowed up as much as possible and it was only when I was closer I worked out what it was!. Looked on the website that night and it and mine was the worst picture on the bend, bolt upright!
I did something similar but my pictures actually look pretty good and I was on the Panigale which was nice.
Rode from Black Isle to Gairloch via Lairg, Tongue, Durness etc. weather was mostly overcast and often wet but it was sunny for the last 30 miles or so, which was nice. I joined the NC500 at Tongue but the only time I was held up was by a camper van traffic jam at Loch Eribol (Loch Terrible to the locals, Loch ‘orrible to soldiers stationed there during the war). Some drivers are obviously extremely uncomfortable on single track but also seem determined not to pull in and let the queue behind them pass despite the many notices to that effect. Anyway, it didn’t spoil a wonderful day of hooning through beautiful scenery. I’m heading home tomorrow.
Apart from some more bathroom ceramic tiling yesterday i watched a Women's rugby match between England & Wales, hopefully our English side can bring home with the silverware in 2023.
