Spent the afternoon fitting my brand new Cardo Packtalk Bold comms unit to the interior of my Schuberth flip front lid, i surprised myself at how easily it all went in and connected up to my phone, and then i went to try it out on my bike and got the missus to ring me - it all works a treat, but i found i had to change the speech settings from Yank English to proper queens English before it would understand my voice commands .
Took the scenic route home from Gairloch to my home near Edinburgh, about 250 miles. The weather was wet, sometimes very wet, for the first half of the journey. The bike handled some soaked and dodgy road surfaces with absolutely no drama in spite of my occasional lapses of concentration and crack-handedness. M7RR tyres are excellent, I hope the M9RRs are as good.
Went past Clarkson's farm shop. Still not sure where the farm itself is. Came back into Cheltenham behind a Grundon lorry with about 50 brand new bins on the back, surrounded by a wire mesh cage. I could have sworn I could hear a high, thin voice going: "Help me! Help me!"
Grape picking. Started at 8 am with breakfast and alcohol. Half time was a 2 hour lunch with more dubious quality alcohol. Back tonight at 8pm to top off. This healthy continental lifestyle is going to finish me off!
I tell ya Viv, I was thinking I could take pics riding, 'til I realized I couldn't unlock the phone with gloves on! They were a quite fetching grey. Which is probably bitchin', just sayin'.
Home from work, showered, quick dinner and out in the camper van with wifey and the two woofies for a short ride to the sea for a walk and a cuppa in the van. Hoping for atwo wheel trip out tomorrow at some point.
I did about 10 years ago, over Dorking way, I couldn’t carry that one home had to put it in the car. wish I had some pictures, it was much better preserved, the slugs have got to this one a bit
Woke up in Dumfries, not sure how that happened…..getting ready for a tour West, weather stunning can’t wait
I'd be off to Thornhill for a Lorne sausage in a scots roll. Groovy castle (Caeverlock) along the B275 from there that you can loop to Annan. But I also like the loop to Castle Douglas via sandhills and dalbeattie (B710). Both get good views of Solway.
