That brings back memories! One of a coachload of brits delivered from London to Bordeaux in mid eighties. Lunch was 12 til 2, food and wine provided. A great time was had by all at the first lunch! Free wine was withdrawn from the lunch menu for all subsequent days. Salut!
Blues and twos back into hospital Thur, another cardioversion to reset the system, then managed to get them to let me out…but Nick won’t let me out the home!
Another rideout and also a long walk for exercise with a rugby match earlier on the box, plus one for @Chris
Dog walk this morning, first time in trousers since god knows when. Weekly food shop. The wife was taking her mum out to a garden centre for a cuppa, so bike time. I can only think of one thing that's thirty years old and is as much fun to ride as this, doubt the wife would approve though. 115 miles and no fuel light?, its either packed up or I wasn't trying hard enough. I chanced getting home to add to the excitement A pic for @XH558
My car is three years old, so in for a 24k major service last week and tyres are at 4 (f) and 5 (r) mm - total bill about three grand, plus extended warranty time, so another grand to be invested to keep it. Just thought should I spend that, or swap for something else and avoid it? Dealer found me a cheaper used car and photos looked fine, as did walk round video etc., so went up today and paintwork looks like previous owner used wire wool, stone chips galore, terribly refurbished alloys and a chunk out of a tyre wall the dealer thought was acceptable. Just walked away.
Had a run over to teesside autodrome to watch British supermoto championships. If you are close enough I would recommend a visit to the second day, tomorrow. It is free to enter and there is a full programme of racing including bikes and superlights.
Yep and only my lard ar$e sat in it covering every single mile, plus it's not a bad thing to get from A to B... Yes, my parking requires improvement
They are cracking cars. As much as I want something exotic, the voice in my head keeps saying get an M5.
It's been a great car and still see very few others, but I NEVER keep a car that long, so suppose it was just itchy pants and strong prices made me consider a 'downgrade', until things calm down and I see if the infrastructure electric vehicles can improve enough to make me want one. But, at the end of the day I couldn't part with it - just too many boxes it still ticks, so decided to run it until it stops, or someone tells me I'm not allowed to drive my 617 bhp gas guzzling, planet killing saloon down the road It's mad I got £31k off this new as a factory car. Now I'd be expected to pay RRP and wait a year or more.
More people should do that if the package's not right inside of accepting sloppy standards etc, welldone you.
