Fitted the mirrors to the panigale. Yay. Except one side does sir properly and suspect head fairing isn’t fitted right. Boo. another try. Another give up in frustration. Fucking hate this bike.
Soo my mrs decided to force the door shut on the corner unit, as she was shaking the cabinet etc, my hp4 race worked its way to the edge…. Then over… The bill is hefty, snapped fgr forks, cracked screen and numerous carbon panels damaged. But she just sent me 100 quid to get a new one, out of the money I put in the savings after selling the diavel….
Spent most of the day watching the funeral in the garage while fitting the newly acquired Ohlins forks. Just test fitting and a quick spin out to make sure the Nix 30 cartridge springs are up to handling my fat arse! Getting them serviced, fork outer tubes polished and anodised, new top caps and feet polished then Cerakoted black. This will be my little winter project.
Bought some Dainese leather trousers. Had to buy new boots, as they won't tuck into my new Alpinestars. Sighed. I must have more kit than most now.
Removed the pillion pegs (bloody horrible job getting those screws off), and installed seat cowl. Went for a ride.
Ordered a couple of carbon parts yesterday, had the insurance renewal come through today. I didn't think it was until next month, oh dear.
With the rising price of electricity I've bought and fitted a new pair of clothes dryers - smells much nicer than comfort fabric softener too
Spent the morning building one speedo out of two knackered ones. Bought a brand new identical replacement speedo for my Z and as with everything these days one led didn’t work so I contacted the seller and he blamed me for wiring it up wrong and blowing the led (I didn’t. It turned out to be a unsoldered joint). Can’t be arsed to get into a 10 email long battle over it so I stripped down and swapped the leds from my original to the new one. All sorted now but I won’t be using that company again.
The Modern MotorCycle Company (MMCC Europe) its an Australian company with a warehouse here in the U.K. and the U.S I believe. It’s more classic/cafe racer type shop so doubt anyone here would use it anyway
