I'm not so keen on the frame and exhaust layout, but i'm sure he's not gonna lose sleep over my opinion.
It’s not mine – just something I saw while out and about and I thought it was interesting and it reminded me of an old friends 900 SS.
Even at today’s prices, that wouldn’t cost too much to fill up with fuel..... But you’d need to make sure your route didn’t stray too far from a petrol station.
Literally Skyhooked, well ceiling anyway. Was it seized up ? Or just behind all the other lego bricks that needed removing first.
The bolt reminds me of a 1098. Blind hole in the swingarm and the bolt head right in the line of fire from the rear wheel.
The SuperMono...wasn't it developed as a racer and was pretty much a V twin with one cylinder lopped off. It did however still have the 'spare' conrod which allowed for primary balance to be maintained. And no changes to the crank either. See http://www.sigmaperformance.com/supermono_tech_1.htm
That was my first thought, but in the photo the cylinder head looks like the 2 valve head, not the 4 valve head the Supermono has
Ooo... good spot... although I'm still sure I can remember such a two valve beast from a magazine article many moons ago.. I may have to spend 4 hours looking for it... It could just be a 'home made' version. - the rear cylinders are after all buggers to work on
This.... was my dream bike when I was 17. I had pictures of this all over my bedroom. It was a really pretty looking bit of kit if I remember right. It was developed for a racing series, but never seemed to go anywhere. And the 916 was new that year too I think and this just disappeared.
