I’m running a team of 6 techs. 3 of them are doing the 5 day isolation thang having tested positive for a cold, err covid I mean. I’ve recently had it. 2 uncomfortable days, that’s it. You’ll be reet.
Have you put any miles on the bike yet? I want to know how wonderful (or otherwise) that swing-arm damper is!
No not yet. As mentioned in a previous post, the garage is currently blocked by a huge pile of hardcore and earth that will be removed once the driveway is done, which will hopefully start in the next couple of months. Given that will push into December or early 2023, I don't envisage riding it until the Spring. Them's the breaks of having to spread my expenditure over an affordable timescale, not withstanding increased living costs. Thankfully the bike is now complete and fully paid for, barring the PPF film and the necesaary software upgrades & mapping that the dealer will have to do, so the focus now moves to the garden and driveway, which look akin to a battle ground.
Despite spending the past 48 hours in bed, it's amazing what a packet of Paracetomol will do, long enough at least for me to finish off the brakes, namely the rear caliper. Anyhow here are what a likely to be the last few pics of this thread, as to all intents and purposes, the bike is now complete. Feel like I have turned my chest inside out coughing, so I am off back to bed. Bloody Covid. All that is left is to torque up the rear wheel nut and replace the locking clip (not pictured). Whilst the rear caliper is not really visible from the left hand side of the bike, I am quite pleased with how it peeps out between the rear wheel spokes, though I accept this is entirely subjective. Finally complete. Nothing left now but to ride it.......roll on Spring!!
Alert! Alert! Alert! Toppo is starting on his wife’s Monster. Cerakoters - order more coating! Titanium bolt vendors - order more bolts!
Swap...errr no. Happy to rip your Streetfighter to bits though and rebuild it. Sky's the limit, or your budget at least. Twiglets....not Wotsits for me.
Just a stunning work of art. I hope you get as much enjoyment from riding it as you have building it. I’m sure you will even if you have to fight off the mobs when filling her up. Beautiful. Congratulations.
Glad to see it all come together, outstanding. The exhaust bungs a nod to the aviation industry by any chance? Quite possibly the best thread I've seen on any forum in a long time. ............ I think I've just had an accident!!
