  2. started saturday on the 390, only plopped off once, but very good fun and superb skills training, relevant to road riding as well, then sunday they put me on the 890, and i couldnt say no, could i? what a beast ! a completely different mindset to my normal greenlaning habit, dropped it on an off camber tight bend going too slow, need momentum with that bad boy, but the instructors are amazing at observing, and their method of teaching and information giving is quite brilliant. They extract you from your comfort zone yet give you the techniques to feel safe again. Am looking forward to progressing on :)
did i enjoy it ? HELL YES :heart_eyes::heart_eyes::motorcycleduc:

  3. Took our BM for a brake fluid service, I bought the car new expecting servicing every 2 years. It was serviced at 2 years then needs brake fluid every 3 years, so that’s a trip to the garage at 2 years, 3 years, 4 years and then it will be aligned at 6 years where it starts again. So it’s not 2 year servicing then? Young lady serving me didn’t get my point.
Anyhoo, it needs MOT too, how much£ £54:eek: nah, Halfords are offering £29.95, we can match that!! So why didn’t you just say it’ll be £30 then
    They’re all rip off merchants.
It passed the MOT with an advisory for low rear brake pads, at 16,606 miles!!!
I’m sure my last Caddy did 50,000 before new brakes. Not too happy with it tbh.

  4. Did a 115 mile ride just into Wales then along the border for a bit on the old Z400. Furthest I’ve ever ridden it, Speedo destroyed itself and just started spinning (until the needle fell off), chain guard snapped a mount and I’ve got a crack in the headlight glass from a stone. Lovely :sob:

  5. Took the 996 for a 70 km ride yesterday... having done 1500 km in the Dolomites last week on the old 1100S MTS, the MTS feels like a kitten once I get on the 996... forgot how fu...ng amazing this old school beast is, one huge adrenaline rush, where the MTS is thinking about going to sleep @6.5k rpm the 9 is just waking up and getting ready to get out of bed.... wouldn't wanna ride it doing hairpins for a week though.

  6. Awesome :upyeah:
Glad you had a great time. I found it very addictive, but didn’t half give me some bumps :)

If you fancy a change of scenery and or different bikes, Geraint Jones does a Yamaha off road experience in Llanidloes, and Simon Pavey does a BMW one in Ystradgynlais.

  7. Reading the first sentence I thought you were scammed....
"Received a phone call yesterday, my long awaited new windows will be installed in a couple of weeks."
    ....
"I am from Microsoft, I am here to help you fix your computer"...pronounce with and accent from India.

  13. Well, just turned out to be a really shit day, I put my car in a ditch :astonished::poop: Not injured although I'm going to feel coming to a full stop from 40mph in about 10 feet in the morning :( Concentrating on safely getting past a cyclist in a national and saw the stationery cars waiting for someone to turn right too late. Instant decision required, the back of a line of cars or the ditch and the ditch won. Now going through the nausea of dealing with the insurance to get the car dragged out and (hopefully) repaired. With the front near side buried in the soft ditch, it's hard to tell just what has been damaged and hoping it's not broken the front suspension. Hey ho, shit happens. Andy

  16. As long as you are in one piece and everyone else, cars can be repaired
Could have ended up like my boy did a few years back
