The car is out of the ditch and not a pretty sight. Nearside front wing, LED headlight, parking sensor bumper, adaptive cruise radar, air con radiator, leading edge of the lower sill, wheel all scratched up and ……. tadah ….. lower, nearside wishbone snapped and steering rack ripped off its mountings almost certainly going to be a write off Bugger, bugger, bugger. Beer, pain killers and an early bed for me tonight. Andy
Yes, I’m a bit battered and bruised thank you and yes, I’ve had this car since new, I’d buy another in a heartbeat but they haven’t made the model for several years. No way I can afford the spec again Andy
Absolutely nothing to do with the cyclist, she was riding very professionally. I just focussed my attention on passing her safely a fraction too long, resulting in me having to make an avoidance manoeuvre. Fault this time, lays squarely on my shoulders. Andy
Sorry to hear that, I think you’re right about being written off though. As mentioned already, you’re ok and that’s the main thing. I wrote off my work van second day of my new job working for father in law… that was an interesting call Me : errr boss, I need a new wing mirror for the van. boss : you twat, you broken it already !? Me: nope, the fkn van is laying on it , soz
Sorry about the 'off' , at least you are in one piece! Whatever happens with the car, there's not much to be done about it now. For sure putting it in the ditch is less hassle in the long term than the options of a cyclist or stationary vehicles
Yeah but if they weren’t there, it wouldn’t have happened, so it HAS to be their fault! Fair play to you for thinking quick enough to avoid the other cars, many wouldn’t have.
After a month of trying, I've just managed to book our visa appointments at the Spanish Consulate in London. It's finally going to happen!
Visited my oncologist today and I have had the most wonderful news I am in remission with my cancer. In February I was told I only had a few weeks or months left to live but later I was put on an immunotherapy treatment after the last course had failed. My doctor showed me the last ct scan results and the cancers in my lungs and liver have almost disappeared. To say I feel happy is the greatest understatement I have ever made.Cheers everybody.
