I was under the impression that a 1098S had forged wheels? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/25574773...KGeNTEX6lJEi8UJTDjF/uyvnA=|tkp:Bk9SR5TejLDxYA
Don’t know nuffink about these new things but, although it’s covered in anodised shite, is this not reasonably cheap? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/25574225...ZL5qV3qAb2gPdZG5ECxH/bafg=|tkp:Bk9SR7ai7LDxYA
1198 graphite wheels ? They look suspiciously like my 2012, 1200 Multistrada wheels. My memory is telling me the 1098S had Showa forks as standard and the dash should say something like race evo if the correct ecu is fitted for the 70mm system. Andy
Wheels look correct to me from other 1098s’s I’ve been looking at, as do the Ohlins front and rear. The dash will scroll 1098 racing but he may have taken the pic before it scrolled past the 1098 bit. A friend sent me this bike given he knows how much I love my full carbon 996s. For some reason this one just doesn’t work at all for me and the beautiful lines of the bike are totally lost. Could also be one bad photo at a bad angle that’s not helping but it just does nothing for me ! I guess people feel the same about my 996 that it looks wrong in Carbon and should be red, who knows (or cares ). This one’s a nope from me
Ducati 900ss supersport at low start price. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/16569776...7O3dOGBnM3EFT/hKz/fbZLMg==|tkp:Bk9SR_Ky69LxYA
Mmm, yes you are right about the Öhlins, was sure they were Showa. Every day is a school day. Having just looked at some pictures, the wheels are definitely 2012, 1200 Multistrada though. Andy
yes I see now, very similar to the original 1098s wheels which are also twin 5 spokes but narrow to more of a V than a U shape where they meet the hub. Good spot that
I wonder how Roly get's it on and off that workbench when its time for a ride? Must have a big Shredded Wheat bill...
I see the workbench has wheels attached, so i guess he pulls into the centre of the room and places a board down or as you say a Gym freak.
this could be interesting, not presently running :- https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/125538876267?_trkparms=amclksrc=ITM&aid=1110006&algo=HOMESPLICE.SIM&ao=1&asc=20200818142055&meid=d705bf461ac24b43aa29a4b51d048b9c&pid=101111&rk=2&rkt=12&sd=165697769963&itm=125538876267&pmt=0&noa=1&pg=2563228&algv=DefaultOrganic&_trksid=p2563228.c101111.m2109 will ask about mileage.
