The old green framed Imola 750... a fine looking machine but it does seem a shame they have entered 'legendary' status and therefore become (just) an investment item. I see it is sporting an oil cooler.. were they standard fitment?
No. Some guys fitted them for racing. I never fitted one to my greenframe, although the crankcases had a threaded union for one.
I guess it's a limted market with very few examples left worldwide which dictates the pricing structure.
Raced mine for 16 years in classic racing, had a brilliant time and was glad to use it for what it was designed for.
Good on you, mate. Maybe I'm jealous but I couldn't bear the thought of having a collection-quality bike and never riding it. Seems pointless to me.
